INGREDIENTS
  • 3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 28 ounce Can of peeled and crushed tomatoes no sugar or preservatives added
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried ground Sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried Thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • freshly ground pepper to taste (I used 5 turns)
  • pinch Cayenne Pepper
Easy Low Carb Marinara Sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a large saucepan or skillet, over low - medium heat, add the olive oil and then saute the minced garlic for 1 minute.
  2. Add the crushed tomatoes to the pan and then the rest of the ingredients. Stir to combine all ingredients and slowly bring the sauce to a simmer over low to medium heat. Reduce the heat if the sauce starts to splatter.
  3. Keep the sauce at a simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and serve warm or transfer to an airtight jar or container and refrigerate until ready to use.
