#04 #WHOLE30 #RECIPES YOU CAN #MEAL #PREP THIS #SUNDAY
Whole30 & Paleo meal prepping has been saving my butt lately. There’s a reason why “meal prep” is so buzz-worthy in the health and fitness game right now – because it works. It really does help keep me on track when I have healthy pre-made options to choose from. I chose to mainly meal prep Whole30 recipes because that’s what works best for me, but you can easily use these recipes as inspiration while adapting to your style of eating. Add dairy or quinoa or swap the meat for tofu, do what works best for you!
Sometimes it’s more like batch cooking, where I am roasting a variety of different veggies to go with eggs in the morning or bbq chicken at night. Sometimes it’s more of a full meal cooked and portioned out into individual containers, ready to grab and go. Depending on what my week looks like, I’ll decide if I want all meals ready to go or just lots of precooked sides and then I just have to cook the meat when it’s time to eat.
The first time I actually meal prepped all my lunches and breakfasts for a full week, I was annoyed by how much time it took and how many dishes there were to do! But the more I have done it, the more streamlined my system has become and I now know to pick recipes that don’t require the same appliances to cook, therefore you are not baking back to back things in the oven which could take hours. For example, I’ll make sure one recipe is cooking on the stove top, while the other is in the crock-pot and the veggies are roasting in the oven.
